We are thankful to see our church grow in one specific way—new babies!

Several families in our church have recently welcomed new members to their families, or are expecting. What a blessing! This also gives us a great opportunity to expand and change the BLOOM Kids’ program to better respond to the needs of our church family.

New group: 0-3

Starting on August 10, we will introduce a new room for children ages 0-3.

In this space, parents will find a calm and private atmosphere where they can go to care for their little ones. There will also be a screen set up so you can continue to see and hear the sermon.

We encourage parents of babies and young children to make use of this room, especially if your children need to be comforted and soothed. This helps ensure everyone has a good experience at church.

New program: 4-6

Replacing the former 0-5 group is a new program for children from 4 to 6 years. We noticed that children starting school need more stimulation and challenge. So, we have adapted the program to give them bible lessons that suit the way they learn.

The new program for this group will be:

  • 10:00-10:30 sign up

  • 10:30 start main service

  • 10:45 drop off by parents

  • 10:45-11:00 free time to play a game, color, play

  • 11:00-11:10 drinks and snacks

  • 11:10-11:40 Bible lesson.

  • 11:40-12:00 group game, song, small craft.

  • 12:00 pick up time by parents

No change: 7-12

Children ages 7 to 12 can join our bible lessons just for them. There are no changes to their schedule.

Kind reminders: Registration, Drop-off/Pick-up/Newsletter

As always, we ask that you register your children before worship begins. This safety protocol is very important for ensuring all children are accounted for, including in case of an evacuation. You can register your children near the welcome desk.

We ask you that parents personally drop off and pick up their children ages 4-12 years each time they attend BLOOM. That gives you, and the kids’ workers, a chance to check-in and share anything we and you need to know about your child and how they are doing.

Make sure to sign up for the newsletter to receive email updates on the upcoming teaching and announcements. You can do this at the welcome desk.

Questions?

If you have any questions about the kids’ program, please reach out to Hannah van Ginkel or Catalina Hanetseder, or one of the kids’ workers.
