Exodus preaching series

“You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples” (Ex. 19:4–5a).
On March 22, we kick off our new preaching series on the book of Exodus. Until the end of June, we will be studying Exodus and the life of Moses as a church through our Sunday gatherings and Life Groups.
Exodus provides us with the first, major redemption story in the Bible before Jesus is born. It continues to shape what we, as Christians, understand of and hope for in redemption through Jesus Chris.
Through His life, death, and resurrection, and one day His return, we have a new exodus; through Him, we are making our way through the wilderness to the Promised Land, a permanent city built by God.
Preparation for Sundays
We will move swiftly through the book of Exodus in the coming months. For that reason, we will ask you to read through one or two chapters of Exodus to prepare before Sundays.
The weekly reading will be shared, along with a few notes and questions for reflection, on Mondays by email. Please make sure you are registered for our newsletter to receive these emails.
On weeks when we have a different Sunday topic or a guest preacher, no preparation materials will be shared.
Life Groups and additional materials
Our Life Groups will be expanding on the material covered on Sundays in their mid-week gatherings. Life Group leaders will receive additional outlines and questions for further discussion based on the week’s themes.
These materials are based on the book Exodus for You by Tim Chester. We have purchased a digital license for this book which everyone at Redeemer Maastricht can use.
Please do not share this link with anyone outside our church, as our license does not extend beyond our congregation.
