Special offering: Giving for growth

On Sunday, May 31, we will once again have an opportunity to give towards God's work in Maastricht and beyond through our special offering. During the special offering, we invite members and guests of Redeemer to give above their regular giving towards specific aims we have as a church. The special offering gives us the opportunity to make specific improvements or investments where it's needed most.

Giving generously

When we give, we are blessed to be a blessing to others. As a church, just as we do as individuals, we prioritise giving generously to invest in the work of our family of churches around the world—especially those who work in areas of conflict and poverty.

With this offering, we would like to give away 10% to New Ground and specifically the work in Mozambique. Jan de Jonge from our congregation recently shared on this topic in church. Organisation for growth

As Redeemer continues to grow, we feel the call to grow in two important ways: Expanding our gatherings and expanding our vision.

Expand our Gatherings

Responding to the growth in the numbers of attendees on Sundays, we have been making room for more people to meet at Studio Radium. We have implemented several changes that make our venue safer and more suitable for our large group, and these require ongoing investments. We are so blessed with this venue, and would like to make this our home for the coming years.

As we grow, we would like to continue providing good organisation for Sunday services and events. For that reason, we would like to hire a part-time Operations Manager as soon as it is financially feasible.

Expand our Vision

Secondly, with regards to our vision, we would love to see more churches like ours taking root in our area beyond Maastricht. Few people have access to a church in our area, and we feel the call of God to take steps towards multiplication. While we do not now how or where yet, we will start preparing this year with the aim to expand next year.

We need a miracle

For all of these things to come to fruition, we need a miracle. We depend completely on God's provision, and for Him to enable our giving. Please prepare for the special offering prayerfully. What has God put into your hands that you can give back to Him? Investing in His church in Maastricht and beyond, we are blessed to be a blessing!

Romans 10:13-15 

"For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.' How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?"

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." 

How to give

We will hand out special pledge / gift forms during the service on May 31. Please use this form to inform us of your contribution to the special offering. That helps us to set aside this amount for these special giving projects. The amount you want to give can be transferred online or through one of the methods described on our Giving page.
