At the end of August, we will start with a new preaching series from the letter of Paul to the Ephesians.
“We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Eph. 2:10).
The apostle Paul wrote this letter to the churches in and around Ephesus, unveiling the plan of God—a plan which finds its origin in eternity with God.
This incredible truth is ours to embrace: God has included you and me in His plan, created before the foundation of the world, and He has adopted us into His family and made us part of this amazing plan.
All of history has been used to see the formation of a beautiful bride of Christ—the body of Christ, of which Christ is the head. Ephesians has everything to do with the mystery of the church in the plan of God.
This letter explains the theology of the inclusion of those formerly outside the covenant with Israel. Believing Jews and Gentiles in Ephesus are now all part of a larger design.
The church will transform marriages, work, parenting, and the morality of her members. She is now the true temple of God, not a building, but a wonderful family which is undivided, made up of people from every tribe, nation, language, and culture.
Join us for this exciting new series which will, by His grace, help us as His church here in Redeemer to find a growing passion and love as Jesus keeps building His church.
At the same time this series will be giving us some very practical handles in the journey of being united in our faith and love for Jesus and His church.
