All Nations Sunday and Special Offering

Our mission at Redeemer is to reach the nations with the good news, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to be a home to people from many nations. We are privileged to have more than 40 different nationalities represented at Redeemer currently. To celebrate this, and remind us of who we are and what God has called us to do, we will have our next “All Nations Sunday” on October 4.

During this special service, we would love to represent as many cultures and languages as possible. Each of you can play a part by wearing traditional clothing or national colors, bringing a snack or treat from your ‘home’ culture to share, or by being a small part of the service. You can sign up via a short registration form.

Special offering

On All Nations Sunday, we will also raise a special offering to be able to fulfil our mission with great faith. We always give away 10% of the offering to others, with 5% for our family of churches, New Ground, and 5% for Aliança Oopittikuxa, an organization strengthening and multiplying rural churches in Mozambique.

The remainder of the special offering will be dedicated towards expanding Redeemer's staff. For us to keep up with the growth and expansion of Redeemer, we have been searching for an Operations Manager for more than one year. The ideal person in this role will allow us to release the elders, deacons, and leadership team from operational matters, enabling them to be focused on leading Redeemer forward.

Over the last few weeks, we have been in conversation with Kwesi Awity to take up this full-time role in Redeemer’s staff. We believe he is the perfect candidate. He is already working a couple of hours per week for Redeemer, he has been embedded in Redeemer for several years, and we sense God is opening up a way to bring him on full-time.

The reality is this requires a big step of faith for all of us, especially financially. We would like to ask you to pray and prepare for this offering, and to seek God’s will together for this opportunity we have.

What a joy it is to invest in God’s Kingdom and the Church of Christ, our Lord and Saviour!
